🍰 Cherry Cheesecake 🍒


 

A rich and creamy cheesecake topped with luscious cherry pie filling, perfect for any special occasion or dessert table.


Ingredients:  

• 2 cups graham cracker crumbs  

• 1/2 cup melted butter  

• 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened  

• 1 cup granulated sugar  

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract  

• 3 large eggs  

• 1/2 cup sour cream  

• 1/2 cup heavy cream  

• 1 cup cherry pie filling  

• Fresh cherries and whipped cream for garnish.  


Directions:  

Prepare the Crust: Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.


Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just blended. 


Add the Cream: Gently fold in the sour cream and heavy cream until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan.


Bake the Cheesecake: Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and crack the door open, allowing the cheesecake to cool in the oven for 1 hour. This helps prevent cracking.


Chill the Cheesecake: After cooling, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results. 


Top with Cherry Filling: Once chilled, spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the top of the cheesecake. 


Garnish and Serve: Decorate with fresh cherries and whipped cream if desired. Slice and serve chilled for a delightful dessert experience!
